Empire Guild Newsletter

The monthly guild newsletter is a valuable tool for keeping up-to-date with the activities of the guild, and for staying in touch with fellow guild members. The newsletter has contact information for the board and committee chairpersons, classified advertisements from members, and ads from local vendors. Linda Lee Kelly is the newsletter editor. If you have news items for the newsletter, be sure to let her know. You can email news items to: newsletter@empirequilters.net

Guild Members can down-load a .pdf version of the current newsletter. Note that the newsletter is for guild members only, and requires a password. You will be asked for the password when the document opens.

If you've forgotten the password, email the guild at info@empirequilters.net. We'll verify your membership, and email the password to you.

If you have trouble downloading or reading the newsletter, you may need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader, version 5.0 or later. To download Adobe Reader, go to: Adobe Reader Download

Another option is to downlad the file to your computer, and view it directly from Adobe Reader. Here's how:

1. In the web browser, right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac OS) the link to the PDF file (in the box, above), and then choose an option from the context menu to SAVE the PDF file or target to a convenient location on the local hard drive (for example, the desktop).
2. Start Acrobat or Adobe Reader, choose File > Open, and then select the PDF file that you saved in step 1.
3. If you continue having trouble, Adobe has good troubleshooting information on their website: www.adobe.com

Classified Ads

Have a sewing machine, a quilting frame or a pound of fabric you'd like to unload? Members are invited to place a free, needle-art-related classified ad in the Newsletter. Ads can be no longer than 30 words and the Empire Quilters member name and phone number must appear in the ad. The Newsletter publishes a maximum of three consecutive lisitngs.

Newsletter Available via Email

Empire Quilters members may choose to receive their newsletter via email instead of regular mail. Newsletters are emailed to members as soon as they are sent to the printer, so you receive them about two weeks sooner this way. To request this, please email Kitty Squire at kesquilts33@msn.com with your name and email address to enroll.
