Wish Upon a January Snowflake
Fabric:
This one is a real challenge because you need to go back to your childhood. First you should work with a 4 inch square piece of paper to remember how to make a snowflake. Fold the paper in half diagonally to form a triangle. Fold it two more times to get a smaller triangle. Then cut into the paper to form your version of a snowflake. It took me quite a few tries before I got it half way to my liking and then a few more tries before I liked the result, so don't get discouraged. When you are satisfied with your creation, use the 4 inch square, white-on-white piece of fabric and attach it to the 4 inch square piece of Steam-A-Seam, removing the backing piece of paper to make the folding and cutting easier and cleaner. Fold the fabric diagonally three times to form the final triangle, as indicated above. The finished snowflake should then be ironed onto the blue 6-1/2 square of fabric. Have fun with this and I hope to see quite a few snowflakes on fabric, not on the street, in January. — Anna Krassy ›› Download / Print these Instructions (in PDF format) ‹‹
