Adopt a Quilt

Here’s how it works:  If you have an orphan block, 10” or larger, please border it and quilt it, or bring it in as is.  We will raffle these blocks off at the show, so they can be adopted and find a new home, and raise funds for the guild! After January, please submit quilted blocks only.  Early Submissions Raffle: We will be giving an early submissions raffle ticket for the show’s Adopt-A-Quilt raffle for those who submit their entries before the February meeting. This team has Sylvia Hughes as our captain!

2017 Show Categories & Awards

In selecting the categories and assigning the requirements, we kept in mind several goals: 1) to accommodate as many entrants as possible; 2) to provide categories that allow for comparable and fair judging, and 3) to recognize outstanding submissions. Should you have questions about in which category you should place your quilt, you will be given ample time to ask. If there are too few entries within a particular category or subcategory, the submissions and judging committee reserves the right to reassign the category for consolidation. There will be an e-mailbox for submissions in the fall. For now, you can direct any questions to eqgshow@gmail.com. A good deal of consideration and effort was put into producing this. We hope you will review it long before we meet in September, and we look forward to seeing your entries! Diane Collier, Joyce Fisher, Marilyn Hamilton Aleeda Crawley & Betsy Vinegrad Judging Team 2017 Show Co-chairs.
